A day in the trenches

I went on a hunting trip with a student to find where our city water goes after it drains. We went all over town and she did some great shooting of digital footage of street drains, small creeks and large drain beds. I thought this moss on a rock was cool. It looks like an island in the middle of a sea of rock.
This is the drainage creek for UALR. It looks clean right. Below is a captured area of grease and fat caught on a drainage pipe. When it rains, this will end up in our fresh water supply.
