Thanksgiving 2007

This year I went to mom's for Thanksgiving. I had a great time. Bryan stayed at home with the kids and his parents came down to our house. They had dinner and went shopping on that crazy next day. Luckily, this year I didn't have to go. My brother, Jeramie and our new edition. This is Anna Grace Felton. She is only a few months old in this picture but she will still your heart away.
This year, Thanksgiving was on my mother's 59 birthday. I cooked dinner for her. We had (picture below) Cranberry Bourbon Pork Lion, Dressing, green bean casserole, homemade cranberry sauce, buttermilk mash potatoes, bacon and apple brussel sprouts, pecan tart, and deviled eggs. I made a raisin pie for my step-father, too. He loves raisin pie.
Riley and Jacob are my two nephews. This is Loran, my step-father reslting with the boys. They spent the night with us so their mother could go shopping the next day.
Coming in on Tuesday night, my back left tire had a blow out. It was dark and cold and on that country road there are no street lights. I was scared half out of my wits. People drove by but no one stopped. So much for that infamous southern hospitality. Of course, it could have been my long hair, big city tags and the bumper sticker denouncing evolution that might have been a deterant.

Overall, the four day break was fun. I got home Saturday and was happy to get to my baby! I missed him horribly.

Various pictures

The mother/daughter team of the century.

I know, but it was the only costume that didn't require makeup. But you had to undo the whole thing in order to use the bathroom.

These are various pictures of people, things and places that I love.

Memphis Zoo

The summer was really hard on me. I worked with kids all summer long and felt really exhausted with everything. Working summers are not unusual but I mostly do part time jobs not related to education. I guess teachers do really need that time to recharge. The panda was sleeping. It reminded me of watching my dog sleep.

Bryan took me on a little vacation since I worked all summer. We went to Memphis to see The Lion King. It was a good play, but not the best one I have seen. But the trip was wonderful.

Hallowee at the Thomas-Felton House

The front porch has been an on-going project. It is totally awesome at night. Especially when we had that big fog machine going. We had the whole street foggy. It was freaking some people out. They thought a house was on fire.
Greetings from the front door. Every morning I had to remind myself that this thing was hanging up or I would pee on myself going to work.

Halloween is Bryan's favorite time of the year. As you can see he goes all out. We had a great time that night. We sat on my tailgate and passed out candy to the neighborhood kids. He was dressed up as Professor Snape and I was just me. We drank margaritas and just enjoyed the night. I felt like crap the next day. Some school kids came by and I got to take the trick-or-treating in the neighborhood. It made me feel cool and a hint of desire for my own kid came through but it vanished the next morning with the hangover.

More attempts at photography

I really like mushrooms. Not to eat but I just think in nature, nothing defies the rules like a mushroom. This fern and moss growing from a rock, just goes to show, life will find a way.
This is a wetland on Kingfischer Trail at Pinnacle.

I took these will out in nature. Some are from Gilliam Park and the others are from Pinnacle Mountain.

Art by Me

Word up ... Chicken butt

I am trying to explore becoming a personal photographer. I am starting to take pictures that may be a little out of the ordinary. Here are some samples. Go gentle...I am new at this.

Love this view.

A view from Pinnacle Mountain. Can you find me?

New York without me

This is so New York. Little sips all along the way. I could live there. You get to see things you don't ever see in Little Rock.

Bryan went to New York for a hairshow. He asked me to go but I couldn't. I wanted his first experience in New York to be unbound and without worry about if I am enjoying it or not. He had a blast. I am glad but sad that I didn't go with him but I get to in February. Yeah! He took this picture. Doesn't he have such a great eye.
